Please copy and paste the the following adoption application into an email [to: [email protected]] to be put on our waiting list.
Please note, I am not taking applications until a paired girl shows she is pregnant.
Apologies, but I will not reply to emails until I post that a litter is on the way.
Please also read all of the following:
Rats are very social animals and therefore all babies are adopted out in same-sex pairs [or more] unless proof of other same-sex rats can be given. A lone rat can get very depressed. A lone rat will also need a lot of extra attention so that it does not get lonely during quarantine. For these reasons, single rat adoptions need to be looked at on a case-to-case basis.
* Babies are allowed to go to their new homes once they are 5 - 6 weeks old.
* Babies are $20.00 each. Cash Only.
* Adopter must pick up babies in a carrier that has a lid that attaches securely and has adequate ventilation.
* Adopters must be able to meet within about 5 - 7 miles of 19006 zip code unless we agree to other arrangements ahead of time.
* First time rat owners need to read through all the sections under the Rat Care tab above.
* All rats are adopted out as pet only without any permission to breed.
Established ratteries will be an exception only if breeding plans are discussed and agreed upon prior to adoption. Rats for breeding purposes are $40.00 each.
